Welcome to the 5laps.com service (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Service’) maintained by Dodreams Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Service Provider’). These general terms and conditions of use (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Terms of Use’) shall be applied to all use of the Service. The Service may include such functions which shall in addition to these Terms of Use be governed by own function-specific instructions and rules (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Special Terms’) that are provided together with the functions in question. The Service is mainly free of charge but may also include some functions that are subject to charges (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Chargeable Services’). When a function is subject to charges it will be clearly stated.
Using the Service and the Chargeable Services requires the user (hereinafter referred to as the ‘User’) to register. A prerequisite for the registration is that the User undertakes to comply with these Terms of Use, with possible Special Terms and with any game-specific rules included in the Service and with other instructions.
Related Special Terms are always primarily applied to the Chargeable Services. If the Terms of Use and the Special Terms are in conflict, the Special Terms shall prevail.
1. The contents of the Service
The Service Provider produces the Service in the way it finds the best. The Service includes different kinds of functions, such as skill game and tournament services, the creating of a player profile and other informative sections. All functions of the Service are free of charge unless clearly stated otherwise. Charges are clearly stated in relation of all the Chargeable Services.The Service Provider strives to continuously develop the Service and it has the right to amend the Service and its contents at any time and in a way it finds the best. The Service Provider also has the right to stop to produce the Service at any time either partly or wholly.
Via the Service the User may download to his/her computer different computer programs such as games. Programs can be either free of charge or chargeable and in addition activating of certain game related features may require payment. When program or feature is chargeable, it’s clearly stated in the Service. The User agrees to use the programs and documents related to those programs in accordance with the Terms of Use, program related terms of use and other instructions given by Service Provider. Ownership of programs and related documents shall remain at the Service Provider and the Service Provider grants right of use to those programs’ assembly language versions and to documents related to the programs. The right of use entitles the User to use the programs and related documents only directly in relation with the Service or other personal use. The User may not to send, transmit, change, reverse engineer, decompile or translate programs or related documents unless mandatory provisions of law state otherwise. Terms of Use of Live for Speed – game are enclosed to these Service Terms of Use and by registering to this Service the User also accepts the Terms of Use of Live for Speed – game and commits to comply with those terms.
2. Rights and obligations of the User
By registering for the Service and accepting these Terms of Use the User receives the right to use the Service for personal and non-commercial purposes.The User agrees to use the Service in accordance with all laws, statutes, these Terms of Use, good practice and game-specific rules included in the Service. Using programs that in any way affect the Service and the games included therein is forbidden. Programs that retard, accelerate or in any way adapt a game are absolutely forbidden. In the event of abuse the Service Provider may trace the User, deactivate the User’s identifiers, otherwise restrict the User’s access to the Service and possibly initiate legal proceedings against the User for abuse.
The User shall remain liable for the User’s use of the Service and shall be liable for all activity that occurs under the User’s user name and password. The User must immediately notify the Service support (service 'at' dodreams 'dot' com) of any abuses or any suspicion thereof.
The User shall have no right to prepare or commission any copy of the contents of the Service or to publish the contents or any part thereof by distribution, transmission, presentation or public display without the prior written consent of the Service Provider or other right holder.
The User undertakes not to submit, send, transmit or store, either in or through the Service, any material that is contrary to good practice or law. Neither shall the User incite others to act this way. The User also undertakes not to submit, send, transmit or store, either in or through the Service, any material that is protected by copyright, trademark or other intellectual property right without the express permission of the right holder.
The Service Provider is entitled to prevent the publication of the unauthorised material meant above in the Service and to remove such material from the Service. The User shall be liable for compensation and other demands submitted by the holders of rights to unauthorised material or by other third parties on the basis of such rights.
The User is him/herself responsible for procuring the terminal equipment, software and data communication connections that are required for using the Service. The Service Provider shall not be liable for any telephone, data communications or other charges arising from the use of the Service. The User shall also be liable for the data security of the User’s own equipment and for ensuring that the said equipment causes no disruption to the Service or to other users.
Normal functioning of the Service requires that User’s equipment fulfills the following requirements: 2 GHz processor, 256 MB graphics card, 450 MB hard drive, Windows XP or Vista. The User is his/herself liable that his/her equipment fulfills given requirements. As Service develops, also the requirements may change.
The Service Provider is entitled to prevent the use of the Service where there is justified cause to suspect that the Service is being used in a manner that is contrary to these Terms of Use, possible Special Terms, game-specific rules included in the Service or otherwise contrary to good practice or law. The User shall also be liable to compensate the Service Provider for any damage arising from use that is contrary to the Terms of Use, Special Terms, game-specific rules included in the Service and other instructions or law.
3. Registration
Natural persons (not companies or corporations) of all ages may register as a User of the Service free of charge. However, the Service also includes such parts, such as the Chargeable Services, which only natural persons who are at least 15 years of age may use. Any applicable age limits will be separately announced together with the part of the service in question. The registration process has been completed when the Service Provider has given the User access to the Service. Any failure or refusal of registration will be notified either at the time of registration or in some other way.The User agrees to supply the Service Provider with the accurate personal and other data that may be necessary for using the Service and to notify if changes occur in these data. The Service Provider shall process personal data in accordance with personal data legislation as specified in the description of data file (privacy policy). The Service Provider shall be entitled to deactivate the User’s user name and to prevent the use of the Service in the event that the information supplied by the User is incorrect or otherwise misleading.
The User will choose a personal user name and password at the time of registration. The User appears in the Service under this user name. The User must keep the password secret and ensure that it is not disclosed to third parties. The User is liable for all use that occurs under the User’s user name and password. The User must notify the Service Provider immediately if the User has cause to suspect that the password has been disclosed to third parties.
The Service Provider is entitled to change a user name and password or to require the User to do so where this is necessary for technical or data security reasons or for some other reason related to the organisation of the Service.
The Service Provider shall be free to delete any user name that has not been used in the Service during the preceding six (6) months.
4. Liability of the Service Provider
The Service Provider shall endeavour to provide a Service of highest possible quality. However, with respect to the charge-free functions of the Service the Service Provider can offer no guarantees of functionality, continuity, freedom from fault, modification, discontinuation, or accuracy and reliability of information contents. Contents of Chargeable Services and Service Provider’s liability related to those contents are defined in function-specific Special Terms.The Service Provider does not create the contents of the opinion and discussion areas of the Service or of its chat and blog services, and is therefore also not responsible for the said contents.
The Service Provider shall endeavour to ensure that the Service fulfills the normal data security requirements. However, the User shall attend to data security of the User’s own equipment, and the Service Provider shall not be liable for any damage arising for the User or for a third party from data security risks such as computer viruses, worms, malwares or other harmful elements.
In respect of the charge-free Services the Service Provider shall have no liability for direct or indirect damage caused to the User by the Service or related to the Service. In respect of the Chargeable Services the Service Provider’s liability is defined in function-specific Special Terms.
The Service may also include links to websites maintained by third parties and to products or services offered by such parties. The Service Provider shall not be liable for the activity of such third parties, nor shall the Service Provider be a party to any agreement between the User and a third party.
5. Rights
The contents, software, programs and visual appearance of the Service are protected by copyright. The material in the Service may also include trademarks and designs that are protected by law.Title to the Service and all copyright and other intellectual property rights pertaining to the Service, its contents, programs and software belong to the Service Provider or its other licensors. The User shall derive no rights pertaining to the Service other than the right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms of Use and with such Special Terms as are applicable from time to time.
6. Material submitted to the Service by the User
The User assigns to the Service Provider the right to publish any material submitted to the Service by the User in whole or in part, as such or modified in a manner consistent with good practice. However, the Service Provider shall have no duty to publish materials submitted by the User, nor shall fees or other compensation be paid for publication.The User shall be liable for ensuring that material submitted for publication does not infringe the copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights of third parties. The User shall also be liable for ensuring that material submitted by the User for publication is neither offensive nor otherwise unlawful, and that the User is entitled to submit the material for publication.
The User shall be liable for all compensation and other demands that are submitted by third parties and pertain to the use of material submitted by the User.
The Service Provider shall have no duty to preserve or restore material that the User submits or otherwise provides to the Service.
7. Force majeure
A force majeure event shall discharge the Service Provider from its obligations with respect to the Service in the event that the said force majeure event prevents or unreasonably impedes some performance pertaining to the Service. Examples of force majeure events include fire, earthquake, flood, explosion, strike or other stoppage of work, orders of public authorities, disruption of energy supplies, shortage of raw materials or equipment, disruption of cable or other data communications caused by or arising from outside factors, or other comparable causes that were not foreseen and that could not reasonably have been prepared for in advance.The Service Provider shall seek to announce force majeure through the Service immediately whenever such announcement is possible.
8. Amendment of the Terms of Use
The Service Provider is entitled to amend these Terms of Use, possible Special Terms, any game-specific rules included in the Service and other instructions after informing of the amendments in the Service in good time before the amendments take effect. A User who does not approve any amendment of terms must cease using the Service.9. Applicable law
These Terms of Use and possible Special Terms as well as the Service or Chargeable Services meant by the terms in question shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland.For the sake of clarity, the User recognizes that the Service is global and thus accessible for User’s from different jurisdictions. As a result you as a User agree at all times to comply with all applicable local laws and rules in your country when using the Service and refrain from using the Service if the mandatory local laws or rules are in conflict with these Terms of Use.

Live for Speed – Terms of Use
5laps-Service is used to drive Live for Speed – game. ‘Developer of the game’ is Life for Speed (www.lfs.net) and term ‘User’ refers to user of the game. Terms ‘Gold license’ and ‘Silver License’ correspond to ‘S2’ and ‘S1’in Live for Speed Terms of Use.1. General
1.1 In order to unlock Live for Speed to get all its contents, your computer needs to be connected to the internet.1.2 You need to have checked if the LFS demo will connect to our master server(*) and allow for online play on your computer and location. If not, there is a very high chance you CANNOT unlock your S2 copy!
1.3 We can not accept any responsibility for any damage Live for Speed may cause to your property or personal health.
1.4 You must be aware that we can alter any aspect of LFS as we see fit without User’s permission. Improvements, fixes and/or changes made to the game, are to be expected.
1.5 Extreme disruptive or offensive behaviour by a user, towards the developers or members of the community, may result in temporary or permanent suspension of the user's Live for Speed license.
(*)If you see a list of hosts when you click on "List of Hosts" inside LFS, that list has come from the master server. So that means you can connect to the master server.
2. Payment
2.1 Your payment will grant you the license to play the Live for Speed S1 or S2 release only, depending on the type of license purchased.2.2 Your purchases can be seen on 5laps-Service’s home page.
2.3 Fraud warning: All fraudulent transactions using stolen credit card details are thoroughly investigated by the card issuer and banks. We are required to cooperate in supplying all relevant information to the bank in these cases, including user name, real name, address and any IP addresses used.
3. Unlock Rules and Regulations
3.1 You may install S1 or S2 on 2 computers for your own use or to race a friend on a Local Network.3.2 You will initially be able to unlock LFS S2 or later versions 3 times.
3.3 We recognise that people may buy a new computer or reinstall their operating system from time to time. For this reason, we will automatically give you an extra spare unlock once a week, up to a maximum of having 2 spare unlocks available.
3.4 You must not give your username, WEB or GAME password to other LFS users.
4. Privacy statement
4.1 We will never sell or pass on any personal information you enter and save on our website, with the exception of point 2.3 of this agreement, when we are required by law to give information to an authority.4.2 We consider personal details to be all information you have provided during registration and all information visible on your account details, except username and country, which are made public on the statistics pages of LFS World (www.lfsworld.net) and our forum (www.lfsforum.net).
